• He recognizes the skull symbol - it’s the symbol of the cult he was in in Kormul. His parents had the tattoo. He was told they were dead from a fishing trip accident. Their bodies were never recovered. Al Sadien devotional every night.

Tree Ent - Talmet

• We ask Amara to see if she can work on the willow ent.
• We send the tree ent to Rethmar, where Imogen and Chimali’s fathers had an ent baby.
• Tree Ent Intel - Talmet is her name
• 3 controlling individuals - pale garments, move strangely - worse than magic or sorcery.
• There is also a tree singer who they call the speaker - he has dark skin and his short, and he plays some stringed instrument. Dwarf? The tree ent says Chimali looks like the speaker.
• One who control the 3 robed figures - painful to look upon him. His name is Al Sadien, and they worship him as a god. The tree ent only saw him twice, in the high forest. Possible base in Amtar and Chennowaith (did Carrie mean to type Channathgate?)?
• The speaker made a building in the forest where they sometimes stay, but they travel frequently and quickly. (We’ve seen this hut in the forest)
• The carving that was made on her: we take a drawing of the picture, which looks like a skull with no bottom jaw. She asks Teagan to remove the carving. It doesn’t cause them to have power over them, but it shows that they are marked for him. It’s a marking of cultists. Phaedra has seen it in a list of dormant and long-dead religions.
• Teagan remembers a dwarven fellow that came to Riftwood where they have the Strain (fey song). The fellow had been there a year and had not been drawn away by the fey song, so Teagan thought he was okay. He was asking to learn to become a tree singer in Rethmar. Unfortunately he disappeared into the forest and headed south. His name was Yantu and he had traveled north for an apprenticeship at the Prestige. Is Chimali’s cousin! It turns out that Chimali’s brother Zapiel finished his internship and ended up??? The tree ent says that Yantu is probably being controlled.

Tree Babies
Confusing conversation about a “tree baby”, and how tree babies are created. I don’t know. Ask Chimali. Nicos (Chimali’s father) and Imogen’s father were tending to a grove, and a tree ent appeared.

Day 1

• We set out early the next morning. A couple of us are in each wagon; Neci is solo.
• We each get 1 ration of Power Thirst
• Aaron, Baldwin, Clyde, and Marcus Rowe (front wagon)
• Imogen and Chimali - third wagon
• Neci - back wagon
• Teagan and Ta’an - 2nd wagon
• Cedwin and Phaedra - 1st wagon
• Baldwin sings and Teagan follows along on his drum

Day 2

• 4 people rolling at advantage for next day
• We see activity near the Rift
• We see smoke coming from an area of houses - like a campfire - maybe goblins
• We notice a gothic style building on the edge of the Rift - Courier’s Union says it appears and disappears. He’s also seen it near Shaarwood by the river. Owner calls himself the Proprietor.
• Cedwin hears something scrambling up the rocks. He notices a red frill of scales - beast of Chaos - Jakura
